Justin has been interested in behavioral health ever since middle school. He attended West Shore Jr./Sr. High School where his behavioral health journey started. In high school, Justin took an Abnormal Psychology class which only solidified his interest in the field of Psychology.

After high school, Justin enrolled in Eastern Florida State College (EFSC). He received his Associate’s degree from EFSC, and then transferred to the University of Central Florida (UCF) to continue his education. At UCF Justin received his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Certificate in Criminal Justice.

Justin’s first real experience in the field did not come until he was a Case Manager at Circles of Care. He was the Housing Manager for the Forensic Case Managing Team.  During that time he was also enrolled in a Full Time Master’s of Arts Mental Health Counseling program from Webster University. Justin graduated from Webster University in December 2020.

During his time at Webster, Justin completed his practicum at Circles of Care and his Internship at Adult and Child Counseling & Psychiatric Center.  Both centers focused on group therapy. Justin has co-facilitated and individually run substance use groups, as well as sex offender treatment groups. During this same time period, Justin delved into Video Game and Internet Use Addictions. Justin believes video game addiction is plaguing not only the youths of today, but the adult population as well. Justin also interned at the Adult and Child Counseling & Psychiatric Center. During this time, Justin was further exposed to the Criminal Justice System and the issues within it.

In his spare time, Justin enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and others close to him.  When time permits, Justin is also an avid gamer and streamer on Facebook.
