Born in New York City, and raised on Long Island, Jeannine relocated to Florida in 2018. Jeannine holds a Master of Science in Health Sciences. She began her personal journey in recovery in 2011. She has a strong desire to share her experience, strength, and hope with others and is a Florida Certified Recovery Peer Specialist. Jeannine's history of addiction and mental health recovery has well prepared her for this role.
Jeannine served as a New York City paramedic from 1997-2006. Her service includes participation as a first responder to the World Trade Center on 9/11. She then relocated to upstate New York in 2006 where she was the Paramedic Program Director and Assistant Professor of EMS at a local community college. In addition to her administrative and teaching duties, Jeannine was actively involved in academic and career counseling for these college students.
Jeannine holds a Master’s Degree in Emergency Management and numerous EMS and disaster planning certifications. Her special interest is helping veterans and first responders with substance abuse and mental health challenges.
In her free time, Jeannine enjoys the gym, time with her dog, and volunteering at the Brevard Zoo.
